At Sutton House Academy the safeguarding and welfare of our students is paramount.

We are building good relationships with multi agencies in order to support every child.

Child protection is keeping all children happy, safe and free from harm. If you have any concerns regarding the safety and/or well-being of your child whilst at school please contact the Safeguarding Lead, Jessica Smethurst on 01702 904633. Alternatively, the Deputy Safeguarding Officer, Alexis Bull on 01702 904633.

If you are concerned that your child, or any other child is at risk of being harmed at home or in the community please call Children’s Social Care directly in the first instance on 01702 534496. Please do contact us to inform us of your concerns.

We have good links with the Police and Young Persons Drug and Alcohol Team (YPDAT) to prevent against County Lines, we ensure our students are fully aware of the dangers facing them in community.

We have Counsellors specially trained in supporting against County Lines and Qualified Counsellors supporting our children with their mental health issues.

MASH+ provides support from the Local Authority, NHS and the Police – all these services are linked to give the best possible support for the children and their families.
